We are able to see it clearly that the thing which was started for mere criticizing purpose has now prevailing in the society too much that even our prime minister have fallen into these hoaxes. Every social media specially WhatsApp is used so much for spreading the fake news and without any authority of the news people believe in them that is the major problem. WhatsApp and other social media platform are regularly working to curb this fake news factory by various steps. Now WhatsApp has limited the number of people to 1, the message can be forwarded to. It's a major problem not for only our country but for the world to but at least in India where many religion live together as brothers for many years and will continue to be, this fake news somehow create a line of stress in between them to. Social media authorities as well as the government should work hand in hand to overcome this grave but avoidable problem and even an individual have the same duty to check the fact of the message before forwarding it to anyone so that is fake news factory can be erased from the society easily so that the hollowness of the society can be filled. Not going much back in history of this fake news as it would trace its existence since ancient period as it was prevalent but in modern time it's root are getting stronger and stronger day by day. There are many reasons for the fake news as in modern times it was first used to demean another person or institution for the monetary purposes are for political purposes. According to a report of UNESCO's world trends the root of fake news is mainly loss of faith of people in the traditional media, and other reason for this is the low level of critical thinking and news literacy, which is not now clearly visible in the Indian traditional media. Reporters are wiped out from the news screen and anchors have taken over them and they have nothing to do with news instead they do a debate program of no use and the result of the debates are actually nothing but it's for mere TRP only. So, this have created a state in the mind of the people to move from the traditional media to social media. Now the problem arises in the social media that anybody can post anything wheather it is foolproof or not and that created a "hollow knowledge society". FAKE NEWS By- Raza M Faizan The industry of fake news in our country, India has taken a significant position and a common man or even news channel or even our leaders can't figure out what is correct or incorrect. This needs to be addressed on priority basis as to have knowledge is good for the society but having wrong knowledge (factless news) creates a hollow passage in the minds of common people and they start behaving like that only.
