No talk story The Post It note on the refrigerator said that the porridge was frozen and had to be thawed before microwaving. This was the 3rd day that Smita and Rajiv were not talking to each other. Not the first time too as now it had been a regular feature with both of them having a big ego and no one ready to bow down. Language of silence has it's limitation and it was here that these post it did the trick. No communication didn't meant no love or care which found unique ways in revealing themselves. Rajiv and Smita were all alone with both their daughters happily married and staying with their spouses in different cities. But today was the day they had met 35 years ago and had always celebrated this day. Rajiv took the initiative and played Hans Raj Hans' song "Appan Dovein Rus Baithe Ta Manau Kaun Ve..." It started at the restaurant over what to order for dinner. He wanted a full course meal. She was happy ordering a salad and tall glass of iced lemon tea. There the fight started and ended with both eating in silence. The waiter arrived with their orders. Soup for him and a big serving of lettuce, with olives, pears, and goat cheese. He pushed the soup bowl towards her, she pushed it back to him. He gulped it down too soon, scalding his tongue. Then angered, sliced through the chicken, with full force, such that it slipped and landed on the floor. Shamefaced he looked at her for sympathy. She offered him salad. Meekly he accepted. The waiter brought Tiramisu for dessert. Stubbornly he resisted the temptation to eat, till she had reached the end of the bowl, at which point he grabbed her spoon and polished off the last bit. Ashu and Andy were living together enjoying their live-in relationship but, there was some disturbance in them from couple of days.They were not talking to each other due to the entry of their friend kavina between their relation. The crack between them grew longer. Their was a need to regain the elasticity of their health relationship. One day, Andy was having a severe pain his in head that he couldnt get out of bed. He was screaming out of pain. As soon as Ashu came back to home and heard Andy's scream voice, she ran to him. She immediately applied the balm on his head. Andy saw the balm bottle in Ashu hand and they were thrown back to their first meet, when during and event where after the good day, they were seating on the stairs of Andy's room and Ashu asked Andy if he has balm and luckily he had. He gave it to her and that was the start of their relationship. They both came back to present from the flashback. Shruti glared at Rahul. Rahul was busy with his work in the study, while Shruti having done the dishes, came out from the kitchen wondering where his Royal Highness was. Of, course, in the study, doing something that looked official but was hardly any! Shruti mumbled under her breath, angry at being the one to do all the housework while his Highness had better things to do. This was the crux of their fight in the morning, who was doing what and what not. There was alot of dish clattering in the sink, the fridge door bearing the brunt of her anger, and cooking being down amidst a medley of banging ladles and tossed vegetables. The Lockdown hadn't made things easier, with them being cooped up in the house all day, the lovey dovey moments were just a handful, the rest was shouting and sulking. Rahul heard everything, understood his wife's frustration, but he was depressed with him having lost his job a month ago. He hadn't told Shruti yet, he couldn't face her.
