THE GUEST Behold! Everyone! "The One" is soon to be here! The Oldest Child!, get your Broom! and, Show the Dirt out of the Drawing Room! You! The Youngest One! Waiting for? The Cloth? To Greet You?! Get The Cloth! Dust the Furniture and Your Sloth! And You! Yes You! Their Father, Get on your Feet Get us something to Eat "The Guest" is supposed to be Served a Treat! Hey Kids! The Guest is a God In Our Culture Do Not! look at His Supposed Meal like a Vulture!! Scurry off! Scram!! "The Guest" is Here! On Your Best Behaviour! Or so help me God... BEWARE!! THE GUEST Little legs knocked on my door called me with her little crimson eyes I hummed my tune and with her sweet melody she helped me to revise. Fluttering from head to my shoulders she symbolised the sky with her phrases. Losing deliberately in the riot of tunes kept me counting her nobility but her tantrums for not being touched reflected her motility. When she extended wings of her, my little guest of this short interval awakened me from my slumber. My guest had wings. #9/30 #napowrimo #theguestpoem #yqpoetry #poemtime #yqbaba

Oh! dear guest, Will you let me take some rest, I am not writing this while being maudlin under the spell of certain taste... But accept it as my request, Though my mammi always concludes her speech by saying ''अतिथि देवों भवः'' But I don't intend to annihilate this maxim by any ways...
