White The day you disappeared, I remember my world coming to a halt, My time being frozen, the air being cold, and the light being dark. I remember you being still, Lying motionless on the silent earth. That day, a feeling crept deep within my heart.. Because I felt how it feels to be loved and unloved. I yearned for you to come back, So that I could hold your hand and stare into your eyes; May be discuss on our unfulfilled vacation Or just ruminate sweet moments from the past. Your laughter was a broken song then, For I couldn't see either the curves on your lips Or the glaze in your eyes. That day, when you disappeared, I knew my childhood disappeared too; The childhood you had been nourishing Since the very first day of I being your 'MATU'. But they do not know that I'm still your little girl, Longing to love and be loved till infinity. I know you're now above, watching over me, Being my guiding star. But I wish I could steal you from Time's unseen depth.. To heal my bleeding scar.. That day when you disappeared, I searched you in my painful cries, And begged the universe to send you back. That day, I realised that 'forever' is a myth, And 'death' the ultimate path. But I will keep you alive in the glory of my deeds, And in my wholesome smile. As I wrap up the year, I take a pause to reflect on the treasure and mislaying of the past, and make inventory of my flaws and strength to welcome the future.Every year offers joy, victory, sorrow, defeat, and most importantly, lessons that mature us to face the forthcoming challenges.
