Being a dad is complex. It's more complicated than being a mom according to me because some way or the other moms get all the support, sympathy and to-dos. But dads are complicated beings. I have only started to understand mine since the last 10 years and I feel I still don't get him 80% of the time. He is the most sincere, rule observant, disciplined, strict and honest man I have known. And it pains me sometimes how easily misunderstood he has been. Maybe because no man was ever given a handbook of how to be a good father. But he has lived his last 32 years (>50% of life) only for his wife and kids and that's something! My husband always laughs how I am such a Papa ki Pari, but I guess that's how every father learns to make his daughter feel. Without any Kudos given, special days celebrated or hugs and kisses showered up on. Thank you Papa, for being my Papa. Now that all your kids are educated, earning and independent, we can't wait for you to start living for yourself and begin the next phase of your life.
